elweb summer event

On a hot summer's day, the coolness of the 6th floor restaurant of the HSBC tower made a welcome setting for elweb's second networking event for East London and West Essex Businesses. With another large turnout of business owners and senior executives, the event started with refreshments and a chance to network and discuss the local business environment, and of course thoughts on the recent budget and political changes (following the predictions of the Right Honourable Iain Duncan Smith MP at the previous elweb event).

As hosts, HSBC not only provided a great venue but also a first class breakfast. Guests were then treated to a true insight in to the UK economy by Dennis Turner, the Chief Economist of HSBC Bank plc in the City. With a combination of humorous anecdotes and very real facts, Dennis spoke in detail about the economy and the impact on businesses, providing invaluable information and predictions.
